If you want to experience a part of the less explored east Prescott area this is a nice option. The park makes it a good idea to spend a whole day there (picnic) and the trails can be quite interesting at parts , while they connect to other trails of the area.

The trail is NOT closed. Only bridge over the lake is. You can walk around the top finger by coming from the parking lot and then get on the main trail

We have explored lots of trails this past year and lynx Lake Trail is absolutely the best! It’s a trail that goes all the way around the lake and it’s asphalt! Beautiful trees drooping over your head close to the water! It is a great safe beautiful flat trailed place to hike! It is not a bicycle trail it’s only for walking and you can bring your dogs! Beautiful scenic views! An absolute must do!

Beautiful little trail and lake. Nice for a short hike.

Hiking up Lynx Creek is fun until you realize you are on someone's claim or in someone's yard. Basically, there is private property all over the place that prevents the hiker from going more than about a mile. Before you get to all of that there is a turnoff to the left that is the Lynx Creek Loop, a mile long trail that goes up a hill and then back down to the lake.
