(from Google)Such a gorgeous state park. With amazing views and well maintained trails, this is a definite must see. There are lots of trails to choose from, with varying levels of difficulty. There is a parking fee for the park, but at $5 for a car it isn’t unreasonable. Completely recommend making a trip and the time to explore this park.
Cross country oriented MTB trails good for training, not a trail to ride for features, strictly a workout.
It was a very nice park but they are trying to fix the fossil beach area. Nice casual walking trails. They have a few outdoor picnic areas as well.
Fantastic trailhead with tons of amenities. Public restrooms, multiple playgrounds, fishing, fossil hunting, kayak launch, AND, of course, 35+ miles of trails! Pet friendly leash on. Don't forget to stop by the visitors center!
York River State Park has lots of good walking trails. We have just found it and haven't tried that many yet. Brochure states there are 35 miles of trails around ponds and estuaries. There are public restrooms, small museum, and a gift shop. Plenty of benches to rest.ots of parking. Pet friendly.
