Phenomenal care for your pets! All the doctors are wonderful and truly caring. Highly recommend!

My spouse and I just moved to Kansas 9 months ago. We have 4 fur babies, so I googled nearby vets. I came across VCA and honestly the only reason it caught my eye was SIMPLY because of the free exam coupon on their website for new patients. I didn’t know how much an exam actually costs there. Until appointment day, when they tried to charge me for the exam……ALMOST $100!! (The most expensive vet I’ve ever encountered) I had to remind them we are new and had a coupon. I failed to look at their reviews beforehand. Huge mistake on my part. Had I known how unprofessional, overpriced, and incompetent the staff would be I would have never stepped foot in that building. I had a very good experience during my first visit. I absolutely loved Dr. Lindsey. He was kind, helpful, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had no issues with him at all. It’s the rest of the staff I have a problem with. Almost every single person we encountered there, aside from Dr. Lindsey, seemed to have short term memories and felt unqualified to be handling animals, much less customers. We had nothing but issues there, during every visit. From being texted a reminder for an appointment for a pet I don’t own, to vet techs not knowing how to handle a shy or anxious pet, to vet techs not remembering to give us meds before leaving, to billing issues during checkout and having to fix that. There is very poor customer service at their practice, and extremely poor communication. The icing on the cake was them texting us 2 DAYS prior to a vaccination appointment to let us know we would be obligated to pay a new exam fee because the original vet that did our pets exam, a month prior, no longer practices there!! So, not only are exams almost $100 but they expected us to pay for another exam (another $100) within a 4 week time span. Because they lost a doctor. Not once did we receive an email, text, or phone call when that doctor left. Common courtesy and professionalism does not exist in this facility. When a company has a doctor leaving their practice….the professional thing to do is to email/text/call each of that doctors patients to clarify they are no longer there and customers should expect to be charged a new exam fee by the remaining doctors when they have their next appointment. When my spouse became upset with them about this issue they became defensive and rude. They were very hellbent on sticking to their exam fee policy and siccing their “supervisor” on my spouse to double down on their strict policy. They were very unaccomadating and rude. I’m really upset that Dr. Lindsey has anything to do with this facility because I actually liked him for my pets. But the staff gives this place a bad reputation, as do the over priced services. With that said, I will not be returning to this vet. I’ve been to MANY veterinarians in my 40 years of having pets and I have never had such a disappointing, unpleasant, unprofessional practice like this. Upon looking at the other reviews on here now….I see that I’m not the only one who feels this way. It’s also very eye opening that when people ask for vet recommendations in the area, on social media, VCA has never been mentioned. The staff, supervisors, and managers all need more training on how to speak to customers/patients and how to make things right when they manage to fail on their end. Job title does not reflect qualification. Krista is supposedly the supervisor there. She is beyond unqualified. If you value quality pet care AND customer service…..I do not recommend VCA!!

Our family had taken our pet here for over a decade. Ever since they became corporately owned, they have had much higher turnover of employees, including veterinarians, & the experience is not the same. We finally left because each time we would make an appointment we would have to agree upon what was done beforehand, and then once they actually had our pet in office the list of necessities would change. It was extremely frustrating. Their main office assistant would blame new employees. After the 4th time this "unfortunate error by a new employee" happened, we left.

I simply cannot recommend them enough! From the front desk to the technicians, especially Sarah!, the staff here are SO KIND and make you feel so welcome! Dr. David Lindsey was kind, understanding, and patient with answering all my questions no matter how silly, he really made me feel at ease and comfortable. He even followed up next day on test results and to check in on my cat, which really makes me feel valued as a client and not like just another number to them. I have had nothing but good experiences the past times I have brought my animals here and after our most recent visit, it’s solidified my decision that I won’t go anywhere else! Thank you so much to Dr. Lindsey, and the rest of the staff here at VCA, for being so awesome :) Chunky says thank you too!

they are freaking awesome! I took my little man in to get his eye checked out because he was having some troubles and not only did they do an amazing job of checking him out and explaining as they went but they were the absolute sweetest!!!! they treated him very very well, Rengoku loved Jennifer as well as the nurse who welcomed us. They sent us off with a solution to the problem and a goodie bag for my little man. I thank them from the bottom of my heart, I would recommend them any day of the week!
