Fairgrounds Animal Hospital

Our handsome middle-aged pitbull mix Rocket needed to be seen urgently and our regular vet couldn't fit them in. After doing a bit of online sleuthing, we came across Fairgrounds Animal Hospital and called to see if they could assist. Sharon and the front-office team were happy to listen to our concerns and were able to get us in the next day. Upon arriving, we were greeted and immediately taken into an exam room where Darby took wonderful care of us. He carefully listened and documented everything before taking Rocket back to be examined by Dr. Magda. After the exam, Dr. Magda came in and discussed possible treatment options. After finding ways to tailor the treatment plan to meet our needs while being mindful of budget limitations, we left Rocket with the team for the day. Upon returning, we were told how wonderful of a boy Rocket is and we discussed the procedures and next steps. Both Darby and Dr. Magda took their time with us and answered every question we had. Thank you to the Fairgrounds Team for such an excellent experience for us and our pets!

I recently rescued a shepherd mix with serious trust issues. When we showed up for a visit she was shaking and I learned a male doctor was going to see us. My anxiety rose a little bit because my dog is especially fearful of men. I brought treats to try and make this a positive experience. I told the staff my dog isn't mean or aggressive but just terrified of people she doesn't know. The staff gave her an examination in the room with me holding her. They absolutely took their time with her, gave her treats, made her comfy and we got through the whole exam with ZERO issues. We even had a muzzle on standby just in case. The staff were very compassionate and patient with a very nervous dog and I was so proud of my dog and her positive experience. It was a great day at the vet!!

Sharon is the best. Always works in your appointment. Dr asst was a great young man. Our pup loved him! Dr was great and wonderful. Explained things very well. Bella picture at vet and nap after!

The VT Darby and Dr took my boxer, Remington in and tested him immediately! Treated us and him like family! In a time of what you think is crisis, they help get you calmed down, evaluate your furbaby and come up with a GREAT PLAN OF RECOVERY CARE! I'll be changing our Vet care to Fairgrounds from now on!!!! We can't thank you enough! So personal and caring♡☆

Took my cat Simba in to get him checked out for asthma. He was treated well and all the staff seemed passionate & compassionate about helping my furry friend. The practice was very transparent with pricing with a high and low end offer based on recommended services which I found fair based on the overall price of vet care in the area. Communication was great and both me and my pet felt comfortable. I will be returning next month for my newly adopted kittens first wellness appointment. Very grateful to have found Fairgrounds as I was battling finding a primary vet without an extremely long waitlist or cooperate status.
