Absolutely perfect! Waterland adventures took care of us and made sure we were safe and had a great time. I wanted to stay longer! Bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, goggles, beach blanket, sand toys for kids, bug spray for sand fleas, water shoes, baby wipes and a plastic bag if mother nature hits you. Snorkel gear can be provided. They also have life vests, chairs and umbrellas at cost. They provide sandwiches. I didn't get the brownie i paid for but that's OK. Bring whatever you want, they will help you get it safely to the shore. Definitely must see. If you have trouble getting though try texting. Limited slots daily.

Nice anchorage, good snorkeling, cool breeze, great beach. The 2020 earthquake ended the maintenance, but the natural environment is still amazing.

The island is a short boat ride from the mainland's south shore. Anchorage is good holding with protection from prevailing easterly winds. The beach is ideal for swimming in calm waters. The abandoned buildings of a once thriving information center remain. A trail through tall cactus passes a cave on the way to the lighthouse. The building has been abandoned while the structure is still in use for modern day lighthouse navigational equipment.

Loved it!!! We used to go every year. Now with the earthquakes in the southern part of the island, where caja de muertos is, I dont feel safe going there.

I have posted pictures of this place when I went there, because I found this was like Paradise on Earth! The beach was something you only see in Travel magazines! White sand, a protected cove, but you're still able to venture and snorkel a little...The guards there are very watchful you don't go where you're not supposed to, because you have completely open sea off this island, and believe me, the currents out there are no laughing matter! I've done scuba diving out there, so I know! Despite being Puertorrican, I had NEVER been out there and was mesmerized by the beauty I found just a short boat ride off our main island!!
