(from Google)I got my snake and plenty of fish from here, they take very good care of their animals and sell quality pet food and supplies. You can tell the people care about the animals.
I have been a fish/amphibian enthusiast/keeper for many years and was recently in town visiting from Colorado. I have visited every fish store in my state as well as many across other states. This is by far the most impressive I've been to. The reptile and amphibian enclosures are densely live planted and appropriately sized. I also noticed the hamster enclosure was a large glass tank with deep bedding that allows the inhabitants to burrow. Very well done. The 100+ fish tanks are also live planted and full of life. So many unusual and interesting species (including the blind cave tetra - my favorite). The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, they clearly care deeply about the animals that they shepherd. This place was not originally a bucket list item for my visit, but we came across it on a night out and decided to stop in the next morning. I was excited to hear that they have social media pages and will be following along from now on and making sure to stop in every time I'm in town. I spoke with someone (Tyler, I believe) who was very knowledgeable about all of the fish and was able to guide me on picking out the right Betta Botanicals for my tank. The team here should be immensely proud of what they do, other stores could learn a lot from them.
Amy was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to patiently and clearly explain to my daughter what it truly means to be responsible for owning a fish. Amy walked her through all the products needed, the daily care involved, and the importance of proper maintenance in a way that was age-appropriate, engaging, and easy to understand. My daughter left fully aware of the commitment required. It was clear Amy genuinely cares about the animals and about educating others. We are so grateful for her kindness, knowledge, and professionalism—she made this a great learning experience for us.
My daughter & her fiance bought a turtle from petco and it was either dead (it wasn't moving from the beginning & a heat lamp was no where near or in the tank) or died on the drive home but either way they were extremely upset. I called everywhere locally & this was the only place that had a turtle & it was the last one left. The reptile specialist paige was amazing! VERY knowledgeable, patient, friendly & helpful. She answered every single one of our questions and we were there for almost two hours. The turtle was very happy and alert when we seen him. Instead of over selling she helped us get what we NEEDED it was perfect! The best interaction I ever had buying a pet. Thank you guys so much! I will be going here for our Lil puppy now also 😊
Update** went back in hopes of a shipment. Tyler in the fish area was a great help this time. Beautiful little pet store with a nice wide selection of a little bit of everythingfor almost any pet. I was hoping for some real aquarium decore, I couldn't find much. Although a pretty significant fish area I was disappointed in the selection. Though, it did look like they may have been between shipments. Customer service was very much lacking. Didn't get asked once what I was looking for, if I needed help ect (and I walked the entire store since I had never been.) When I was ready for help, went to find someone to ask for it and could only find the guy running the register who had a line so I left.
