Went down to check out the picnic pavilion number seven and to clean the grill for a picnic on Saturday… I found it had great facilities very clean albeit lots of Pineneedles that need to be swept up and even had a fireplace in the middle of the pavilion so that if it’s chilly, we can warm up by the fire!
Since Hurricane Chantal it’s actually closed but it doesn’t say that anywhere. We tried every beach Jordan Lake has and they’re all closed off by cones.
Small beach with plenty of space for a barbecue with tables. Great place for small kids to spend the whole afternoon. Cost $7 to enter but worth it.
Went out here on a hot summers day to cool off. Didn’t have a ski boat but we enjoyed kayaking and playing on the beach and in the water. The day we went it wasn’t crowded at all. I think the admission was $6. Bring what you need to set up camp for the day- shade, sunscreen, food, games, music.
