Twice this week there has been homeless people sleeping in the Port of John's next to the playground. I do not recommend the park for kids. There is so much trash on trails and homeless camps in the woods.

Family has been twice this week to try and give this place a chance. There is a nice little playground. Unfortunately the trails are super dirty and there are homeless people camped out near the trails and both time a homeless person was sleeping in the portajohns right next to the playground. We don't really feel safe bringing our kids here. Which is sad, because it's full of birds and cool plants on the trails.

Not much to say about this place, except if your looking for a fun park to take your kids, look elsewhere. Too many creepy people lingering around. The bathrooms are 2 ports-Johns, both don’t have locks, and homeless people make camp in them. The park is covered in trash and needs to be payed attention by the city more. On the other hand I got to see my first pair of armadillos I’ve seen in the wild. Recommend going somewhere else.

Nice park with a few soccer pitches, looks like two backstops for baseball or softball, play scape for kids, a loop trail and an out and back trail. They do have some side trails to Salado creek but most are small, trashy, and in some spots scary. If you stay away from Salado creek are it is good.

Great place to see the moon but that was not the only type of moon we saw... after some googling turns out it's a fun time park 😂 I made the mistake of taking my kids at 10pm. My daughter asked why there were random men just sitting there watching the cars pull up. It was then an elderly man wearing only thigh high stockings and a jock strap walk up to one. They talked for a bit then held hands skipping into the woods where we then saw multiple flashes. We were there to photograph the moon so I assumed they were doing the same in a more secluded area. 🤷🏻‍♀️
