(from Google)Gorgeous trails for a variety of activities!
For cross country skiing, I highly recommend this trail. Easy access location if staying in Duluth, nicely groomed, trails are for skiing only, beautiful scenery mostly surrounded by forest and protected from wind. Main loop is great for easy recreational skiers, side loops have some tricky hills but not too bad. Be sure to stop and catch the gorgeous views overlooking the St Louis River Valley its off trail - look for "Grandview" wooden sign on the tree (see picture). Nice they also have a port-a-potty at the parking lot.
Best mountain biking in Duluth for those with a lot of experience. There are easy trails at piedmont but the best ones with the most jumps and features you definitely need experience and a good MTB.
Super fun trails! Trails could be a bit technical for beginners. I like the fact that most are two way trails so you can ride the trails going down or up. I was challanged on my rock climbing and descending skills... Fun!
Beautiful spot close to town. Well-maintained ski trails in the winter for a range of skill levels. Great spot for a walk or trail run, or hop on the bike trails when there's no snow.
