(from Google)Team Samlvy was the best dog training experience we have ever had. Our trainer was Allie Sherman. Allie is very experienced and knowledgeable about dogs. She used to work as a vet technician and horse trainer which adds to her knowledge. We have two dogs, Hannah and Holly. Hannah was in most need of training. She is highly excitable and high energy. She also could be aggressive at times toward other dogs. Throughout the training Hannah learned to calm her emotions. Her anxieties settled down, she stopped pulling on the leash and barking when another dog appeared. Today with a "Leave it" command, Hannah just looks at a dog and keeps walking, no pulling, no anxiety. Also she is better behaved at home, she will stay in place and go to her crate with a simple command. This course with Allie also helped Holly improve in areas of need. If your dog displays anxiety and is difficult to control, this is the training course for you. Hannah the black dog, Holly the brown dog.
We’re really glad we found Sam Ivy! Hollie is such a great trainer — she’s super patient and explains everything in a way that’s easy to follow. Both me and my dog have learned a ton from her, and the training has made such a big difference for our pup. Most of all, we really appreciate how much she genuinely cares about her clients and always wants what’s best for them.
We came to Samivy looking for help with our Doberman, Tyson, who was dealing with pretty intense separation anxiety whenever his dad would leave the house. It was stressful for all of us, and we needed something that would actually work and fit into our day-to-day routine. From the very beginning, Alysia made a huge difference. She was patient, easy to talk to, and really took the time to understand Tyson and what he was going through. She didn’t just give us generic advice everything she shared felt tailored to Tyson and realistic for us to follow. We completed six sessions, and honestly, we started seeing changes right after the first one. Alysia explained things in a way that made sense, showed us exactly what to do, and gave us the confidence to stick with it. As we continued, Tyson became calmer, more settled, and much more comfortable in situations that used to trigger him. What stood out most is how knowledgeable Alysia is not just about training, but about dog behavior in general. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs and the people she’s working with. The tools she gave us weren’t just quick fixes they’re things we’ll keep using long-term. We’re really grateful for the time we spent working with her. This has made a big difference for Tyson and for us. We would absolutely recommend Samivy to anyone looking for a training program that’s effective, practical, and built around your real life.
I was looking for a dog training solution for my new puppy and loved how Sam ivey teaches you to train your dog from home over zoom. I didn't have to go anywhere. My pup just graduated today and the training made all the difference. My pup has so much more control over her impulses and looks to me as her leader for guidance. Now that I know how to communicate with her she listens so well and she's only 12 weeks old. Cerah was our trainer and we love her she is so patient and easy to work with, and was always available if i had any questions. Definitely coming back for the service dog training.
I want to share our experience working with Ryaan, our Sam Ivy trainer. We have had German Shepherd, Sam, since he was 6 weeks old. Now, 4 years old, Sam has become extremely aggressive. While Sam was a puppy we hired 3 trainers. Sam understands basic commands but is stubborn. 2 years ago, our adult son came in our house unexpectedly through the front door and Sam attacked him, causing 7 stitches. On December 15, 2025, Sam attacked our adult daughter requiring 12 stitches. I had had enough and contacted our animal control to surrender Sam. Animal control told me they would quarantine Sam for 10 days and then euthanize him. After a day or two I found Sam Ivy online and spoke to Brad. I was unsure if a remote trainer could help, but after reading their reviews we decided to give them a try. Ryaan was our dedicated trainer. She was fantastic to work with. She taught us that Sam was a working breed and needed structure. Almost immediately after implementing her instructions Sam began changing his ways. Remarkable! 2 weeks into the training Sam stopped growling and seemed happier. Our 4th weekly training was yesterday and although we set up situations that would cause Sam to react, he did not. Obviously, Sam’s training will continue and the practices Ryaan showed us will be maintained for the rest of Sam’s life, but it’s a small price to pay to save our pet’s life. Last week we took Sam on a trip to the beach and he was a perfect pet. I highly recommend Sam Ivy and especially Ryaan. She is a true lifesaver!
