(from Google)It was quite unexpected to find out that this restaurant had an outdoor area. We were there for lunch and had: pan de bono waffles and empanadas, and the Paisa Bowl. Everything was so delicious and fresh! The flavors were amazing! Good portions to take home. The ambiance was quite nice with the trees, however eating with the chickens running around made us a bit apprehensive.
This had more a sports bar vibe than a cafe. Our table was not the cleanest when seated but they were pretty busy with the brunch crowd. We started with the tostones mixto, cappuccino, and a lulo spritzer. The server was hard to track down most of the meal and we were able to ask for something it took multiple asks. Our meals were good and the food runner was helpful. We were never offered refills, an opportunity to order other drinks, checked on during our meal, had to ask for a box 3 times, but the check came without asking. Probably a cool place to have an appetizer and watch the world cup, but we can't recommend it for a sit down brunch.
We are a group of friends who meet every month in a different place. This unique restaurant exceeded our expectations. Mauricio was our server; he helped us make our choices and gave us excellent recommendations. The portions are very good, and the prices are reasonable. I tried the pork belly, and it was delicious. The pan de bono eggs Benedict left us impressed. We sat in the patio area, surrounded by roosters, chicks, and birds, creating a family-gathering atmosphere. It is a beautiful, picturesque place that we would go again.
found on tiktok and wasn’t disappointed! service was fast, food was amazing, and the drinks were jaw-droppingly good!! in love with the patio vibes - cool air, birds chirping, and mood-setting music. our server was fantastic: charming, cool, and great with tampa recs!! we spent $85 for 2 ppl (4 drinks, 2 apps, and a shared entree) and will def be back for great vibes, better service, and the best prices
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Tropical Oasis in Tampa: L.P.C.X Café If you’re looking for an authentic culinary escape in the heart of Tampa, L.P.C.X Café is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you arrive, the incredible ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal. I highly suggest making a reservation before you head over; this spot is a local favorite, and you’ll definitely want to secure a table to soak it all in. The Atmosphere The outdoor seating area is, quite simply, stunning. It is tucked away under lush, natural shade that keeps the Florida heat at bay, creating a breezy and relaxed environment. The charming highlight of the experience is watching the chickens running around the grounds—it adds a rustic, soulful character to the café that makes you feel like you've been transported to a quiet corner of the islands. The Culinary Experience: The food is a vibrant celebration of flavor, and the prices are impressively reasonable for the quality and portions served. We explored a wide range of the menu, and every dish was a hit: • Hearty Entrées: The Spanish Breakfast ($16.00) is a fantastic way to start the day with bold, traditional flavors. For something equally satisfying but with a different texture, the Tostone Mixto ($14.00) offers a delicious blend of savory toppings over perfectly fried plantains. • Sweet & Savory Bites: If you have a sweet tooth, the Waffles ($9.00) are a classic choice done right. We also couldn't resist the Empanadas, which come in a set of four for only $8.00—perfect for sharing. The Arepa De Choclo ($3.50) was a personal favorite for a quick, sweet-corn snack at an unbeatable price. • Signature Sips: To wash it all down, the COCO-LOCO ($15.00) is a premium treat that perfectly complements the tropical vibe of the patio. L.P.C.X Café manages to strike that rare balance between high-quality cuisine and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. Whether you're there for a long weekend brunch or a quick coffee, the combination of the beautiful scenery and the authentic menu makes it a five-star destination.
