(from Google)The coffee here is delicious by far one of my favorite places to get coffee from. Unfortunately I don’t feel the same way about the service i got today. We came to the counter to order a cortado and a pour over for there (not in to go cups). The girl at the counter tells us it’ll be 20 mins or more for a pour over and that if we wanted it sooner maybe try coming at a less busy time. So instead we just ordered two cortados and we were given two macchiatos in to go cups. I love the coffee here but the service needs to be better, we weren’t even greeted with a smile. I won’t be coming back to this location, hopefully the other location is more welcoming.
Great coffee and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The place was bustling with people, which made it feel lively and warm. The sofa seats by the window are perfect for relaxing with a tasty drink and a small snack. A lovely spot to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Today was my first time ever going to Lamp Post. I loved the ambiance, the service was great, and my Tiramisu latte was fantastic. I couldn’t get enough of it. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich and an apple pastry. The food was decent, but the sandwich needed seasoning, and the pastry wasn’t anything spectacular. I enjoyed it overall, but there’s one thing I can’t get over: the prices. Oh my goodness, for just the one drink, a sandwich, and a pastry, it was $23 without tip. That blew my mind. That’s an average of about $7 an item without sales tax. That just doesn’t seem reasonable to me, especially when I was still hungry afterwards. The sandwich alone was over $8, which didn’t seem reasonable. I was disappointed at the price really, but everything else was good. It’s somewhere I may come again, but only when I feel like spending a lot of money on breakfast that won’t leave me feeling full.
Lamba latte is so smooth and creamy. I usually ask for less of the syrup for my liking. But, overall, this latte is delicious! This coffee shop has ample space (back room) for overflow seating and outdoor seating as well. Its my favorite neighborhood coffee shop.
Lamppost has several branches around North Austin including this spot up in Georgetown, located along S. Main Street in the historic downtown area. They have a spacious indoor seating area and a couple outdoor tables as well. Opening hours are 7am to 7pm (weekdays) and 8am to 7pm (weekends). Recently stopped by and was prepared a good Cortado by the barista behind the counter. Service was friendly and timely, prices reasonable and overall my coffee tasted pretty good. Liked the spacious and casual environs at this lamppost Coffee as well. Would gladly return during future visits to Georgetown.
