Out of the Barrel

This is such a cool place to visit. The beer selection is honestly phenomenal, I haven't seen a place this stocked up in a very long time.

What a wonderful place to hang out with friends! A HUGE selection of craft beers, both on tap and in cans. And the people behind the bar are friendly and kind. The outdoor seating area is lovely, and this place is located right be the San Carlos Caltrain station. Perfect!

Hazy IPA and hard seltzer were great. Wide selection, friendly staff. Enjoyed trivia night too!!

This was our first time visiting Out of the Barrel in San Carlos. We arrived around 5 PM and the place was already pretty full, which gave it a lively, welcoming vibe. It’s conveniently located right next to the train station—perfect for game days or anyone looking for an easy stop. The space is on the smaller side, but it feels cozy rather than cramped. They had an impressive selection of IPAs, which hop lovers will definitely appreciate. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any ciders available, but the staff made up for it—they were efficient, friendly, and really knew their stuff when it came to the beer. Overall, a solid spot for a casual hangout. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

Great location and vibe next to the San Carlos train station. 32 beers on tap with a large selection of beers to go. The on tap beers come in 17oz or 5oz pours enabling people to sample or enjoy beers. The food on-site is made locally and prepared on-site, they're snacks but very tasty.
