(from Google)Good workout. Muddy at some part but mostly dry. Canyon trail was still closed at the twin falls but the detour signs were clear about where to go, the elevation was crazy at the detour (I think that was the hardest). Overall i missed the winter falls bc I didnt know and forgot to count them. A lot of people.
We had our lunch here before going to see the falls. The place had all the facilities we needed. Everything was clean and well maintained, with plenty of space to relax. The surroundings were beautiful, and the restrooms were very clean too. A great stop for a comfortable break during the trip.
Plenty of parking to visit South Falls or take a hike and visit the beautiful waterfalls on the Trail of Ten Falls. This is the most popular hiking route though there are even more waterfalls throughout the park. There are four waterfalls you can even walk behind! It is absolutely beautiful. There are picnic areas and plenty of open spaces. There is a cafe that serves coffees, teas, soda, and has food offerings as well. They even have some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options! They only serve breakfast and lunch so take a morning hike and refuel before going home. Maybe you're not ready to go home yet? There's a campground! Silver Falls also offers classes, special weekend events, and other fun things to learn about the area. This is great for the whole family!
Fun place! I was expecting just a bunch of trails, but they have a dog park, tons of picnic areas, a cafe, and some other stuff to check out. Plenty of bathrooms. And, of course, the best part is the waterfall that you can walk behind. There is a trail called The Trail of 10 falls where you can see 10 waterfalls along the way, but that's a much longer hike, several miles. The close one is only about half a mile, but it is uphill coming back, so be aware. But again, great place!
I've been coming here for over 30 years, and it's still one of my favorite go-tos. It's like an old friend so I still come here often. The trails are good(not all paved which I like) and the waterfalls are always beautiful (except at the end of summer). I often see deer especially in the 'golden hour'. It's well worth the hike to see all the falls!
