(from Google)We went to a Fairy Festival at Rocky Point! Lots of people were dressed up in clever & imaginative costumes!
Favorite relaxing place. I just hate having to pay in the off season to just walk my dog. Off season i go every morning to get my day started walking my dog
Wonderful time here! The water is calm, and the beach area is clean. Make sure to bring swim shoes as the bottom of the water is very rocky. As a heads up, there is a day camp here during the week. There are a lot of kids in the water at various intervals. While there are camp counselors in the water with the campers, it is a bit chaotic at times. Multiple warnings by the lifeguard about safe behavior in the water to both campers and staff. The bullhorn warnings got to be a bit much, so we packed up a little early and left. Overall, though, still a great place to enjoy some sun and sand.
Best secret gem, which I'm sure won't be after this post. This hidden treasure is very close to Baltimore or DC. It is absolutely worth the drive. Best yet, it's a state. Because I am disabled and 65, I have a pass that allows me free access to all state parks. This park provides a beach, picnic area, playground, grills, picnic tables, and even bathrooms/changing areas. I'm not certain of the bathroom cleanliness. I didn't use it. You can even reserve your little piece of heaven on earth.
Rocky Point State Park and Beach is a really nice place to visit! I checked it out with my family in March on a nice day so it wasn't packed but I'm sure it is in the summer. There are two nice playgrounds, a few picnic areas, and two nice beaches. There are also restrooms available. Im definitely bring my family back on a nice summer day to swim!
