(from Google)Maybe I’m not familiar with the area, but the location provided by maps was really hard to find. We were in a vehicle maybe that had something to do with it, so keep that in mind.
We love this park. The inclines really work my legs. Also, there's a cool bridge ...can't wait until it rains.
Great park for walking. Very pretty and enough shade. You can sometimes see people with their horses, there’s a horse trail. A creek runs up the middle of the long park and 2 beautiful bridges run over the creek at both ends. Birds singing, sun shining, beautiful walk
Neighborhood park of natural beauty, surprisingly tucked away, as yet another quiet getaway for a quick workout, walk, stroll, picnic and meditation! I first noticed this photogenic green space with Google Maps, en route to La Mirada Creek Park, which I almost mistakenly assumed are parts of the same park, as they look the same, have similar looking pathways and are both sandwiched within residential neighborhoods, a few blocks apart. The same creek is central thru both parks! In fact, I could’ve used the same writeup for both parks, if not for the lack of park designated parking spaces and lack of a restroom at Oak Creek Park. I’ve reviewed many smaller parks with the parking and restroom(s) included, and while this is first and foremost a neighborhood park where the average users are steps away from home, the missing amenities may unintentionally exclude visitors. Regardless, it is a public park, so discretion is advised! There’s access at several points around the park. Acceptable street side parking, signs permitting, is at Cordova Rd, across from the church, with an incline ramp into the park. There’s also ramps off La Mirada Blvd, across from Biola University.
Aaaaahhhh creek park, or as my kids have renamed it to "the squirrel park" 😄 Such a GoRgEoUs park hidden off imperial hwy in La Mirada. A 1 mile cemented walkway loop circling green rolling hills with a creek running through the middle all throughout, an amphitheatre at the far east end, giant trees, shade, shade, and more shade. Picturesque bridges great for family portraits and not to forget tons of cute squirrels! Great park for a stroll any day.
