(from Google)There was zero parking at the trailhead and the residential neighborhood around it was all no parking. This trail seems to be for locals, or you'd have to park in town and walk 20 minutes to get to the entrance.
This place is amazing. To stretch your legs and let the pups walk or toddlers. My daughter loved the beach. It is Nov so a bit cool but not bad with sweater. Great spot.
Updated! This trail has extended; Now the trail extends From Fort Moultrie to the Sullivan's Island Lighthouse. Nice-mostly shaded, with added benches and beach access. Many paths intersect the main path. Some additional signage would be very helpful, especially near Fort Moultrie. The trail can be accessed from many points, Lighthouse, Station 16, or Fort Moultrie.
Not much to the trail from #16 entrance. You have to park before the grassy field on a side street, short walk but we had to ask a kind local. However before the entrance was a row of flowers and about a hundred monarch butterflies that live there year round. That was nice to see.
Beautiful ocean coast to walk for what seems like miles. Parking is a little challenging and we had to use Google maps to find a trail from the street parking to the trail/coast itself. It was well worth it.
