(from Google)Love this park! Quiet and secluded, got some great play areas and green spaces.
Foul smell of sewage treatment plant nearby. No restaurant or food is available nearby. Abundant trees provide good shade Kids surely will enjoy the swings, slides.....
I don't have kids but I drive by this park on the way to the nearby dog park and a friend and I took her littles there about a year ago. It's a nice little park with good play ground equipment. Well maintained. Parking can be a little short on weekdays during business hours because city employees share the parking lot. Dogs are not allowed. It's a popular place for birthday parties on weekends. It abuts a decent sized field that a lot of peewee soccer teams use for practice. I've seen adults using it occasionally as well. There is a porta potty next to the field. There have been some recent break ins to cars in the parking lot. Mostly on weekends. Use common sense. Lock doors, hide valuables, stay vigilant.
Nice little park "hidden" in the community. The facilities at the playground, the pergola and swings are well maintained. There is a small grass field for soccer at the back. The grass needs some maintenance if possible. There are light posts so it could be lighted during the night. Recently a chimney swift tower was added in the middle of the park. Sufficient parking spaces. Very quite and not crowded. It is next to the dog park.
When I was little, I used to play at Lafayette Park almost everyday after school, and I always had fun. I'm amazed at how much its changed
