(from Google)This is my new favorite place to go. There is no alcohol or propane grills allowed. They have single and double grills. It is well protrolled by police. It's safe for children and families. They have a water sections for swimmers and a section for jet skis. I read about sand fleas, I was so happy that there were no issues with fleas or ants. I layed out on a towel and I slept just fine. Not even ants walked on the towel. This place is amazing and I'll be back soon. Parking is also fantastic. There is ample parking.
This is a small local river that feeds into the gulf. The sand is a little dark so when it is hot out, it can burn your feet. Wear sandals! The view is very pretty watching boats gonig and out of the pass. Food truck on site sometimes. Better to bring food to grill or sandwiches in a cooler with some fruit.
Just a small piece of paradise. Boats coming in and out, kids playing in the sand & water at the beach. Some fishing nearby. The sun was perfect & the breeze, divine. A perfect place to rest your mind & soul.
We use the boat launch. Nice ramps and ample parking. It's $10 to launch. Just a few miles from the launch is Anclote Key. Great spot to goof in the water and maybe collect shells. When returning to the launch, be prepared for a current that tends to grab you just as you approach the dock. It can be tricky and you could end up on the You Tubes. Take it easy. 😎
First off... FREE Parking! Yay! A quiet park with great views of boaters and birds. It also has boat ramps. I was hoping for more beach front and shells.
