(from Google)Pretty hiking trails! You can stick to the flat main path if you have a bike or a stroller and if you’d like something more vigorous there are plenty of regular hiking paths! Just be prepared for a not insignificant elevation change while hiking (don’t be surprised by the hills lol)
West Ridge Trail is a leash-free area with many dogs, hikers, and cyclists. The terrain is relatively easy, however there are some loose rocks and changes in elevation. The views are good and occasionally smells of fragrant California bay laurel. The big negative is that there is a lot of dog poop and dog poop bags left on the trail. Some dog owners let their dogs get far away from them, so they probably don't notice when their dogs leave poop behind.
Beautiful trail with a variety of flora. The ground is variable and uneven in some areas, but easy to walk. Trained dogs can walk off-leash for most of the trail. There are several trails in the area where you can stray and miss the starting point. Therefore, I recommend downloading a map on your GPS because the internet is poor in the area. Also be careful where you step, due to the uneven ground and wear on some edges. For your safety, watch out for cyclists.
Lots of elevation gain, winding across tiny streams, with bridges, lady beetles, lots of dogs, and trail junctions to customize the length of your hike.
Another entrance to the Reinhardt Redwood Regional space! Tons of hiking and biking trails. The wider trails around the edge are off leash for your dog, and the inner ones are steeper and tighter and are on leash only. Can be a bit busy on weekend, but nice trail system with good shade
