1 star for not allowing customers to use the restroom. Petsmart is much kinder in this regard, so I will be traveling the extra 3 miles to a store that will treat me like a customer and not a criminal. I sincerely doubt anyone cares about my complaint, as Petco is a huge corporation with plenty of customers, but it was so frustrating today to try and make a stop here after my 45 minute commute. My next stop was another 25 minutes away. If you aren’t going directly home after shopping, and you have a basic human need, too bad, they do not care.. Purely out of principle I will be canceling repeat delivery and moving all my orders to Petsmart and Chewy. Aka your competitors. Again, not that I expect anyone to care, or even read this review. 10 years ago, there was a restroom and they did not even have a lock on it. Lock/key code is fine and to be expected, but denying your customers access entirely is off-putting to say the least. Customer service is fine. My issue is with this policy.

when calling customer service on a question or food inquiry, I always get helpful people. Petco will make things right on "repeat delivery" and will provide options that are of real help. It is good to know that Petco is there for me. I do get frustrated when my "repeat delivery" will be out of stock or delayed; but when I call, there are good answers and help with products that maybe equally okay. Betty

My sister and I are avid fish keepers and decided to go to our local petco for the tank sale. We both have multiple established tanks at homes and have multiple years of experience under our belts. We had a normal shopping experience and were able to find everything we needed. We even decided to pick up two bettas (who were not in the best shape) to put in tanks at home. However, at the register we were met with extremely rude and condescending employees who said they “didn’t even want to get involved” with what we were doing. Not once were we asked questions about our setups at home or if we knew what we were doing. My sister and I were planning on going back later to buy plants, but decided not to because clearly we weren’t welcome due to the passive aggressive and condescending employees. Next time I’ll stick to World of Wet Pets where the employees are actually interested in being helpful, educating, and supporting their customers. Very disappointing!

Hi, I noticed the leopard gecko enclosure in your store is overcrowded and missing key things like hides and a humid hide. Geckos are solitary animals and need space, hiding spots, and a humid area to help them shed properly. The loose sand substrate is also risky and can cause impaction. Please consider improving the care conditions for the animals in your store. Reptiles deserve a safe and healthy environment, even while waiting for adoption.
