Amazing job Jerry, Tarin, Mia, & Veronica! First time in- and Way to go Boondocks Team, esp Friday Happy Hour! Watching you all in action & the speediness & friendliness you all display…yes indeedy they really do care & value their guests & the 10 star service-they give is most def outstanding! Hence, so-so-so refreshing just to have fellow humans show they care and take pride in service, quality & for serving our fellow neighbor! From the time I sat down for a drink, nice serve Jerry, to enjoying my Homemade salsa & chips-way to go Veronica! And to the live music coming up - & the juke box music just gotta say- ya’ll on point! Your entire concept of a warm, relax homey, unwinding or/& uplifting and fun experience Boondocks is going to be my new local home away from home and office fn Iraq Combat Veteran & just so grateful and thankful to be reminded I’m finally home and have a place to hang my scarf for a bit! Thank you Jerry for your warm welcome-in and for each of you-beautiful ladies, Tarin, Veronica and Mia, couldn’t be possible without your hearts, who care and show the love & pride, and for just welcoming all who walk thru the doors! We sat right down, no problem with waiting for a seat. The server saw us sit down. But seemed to distracted with her other guest. She never came to our table. We sat there for quite some time before just going to bar to order drinks ourselves. Later another girl came over. She was great with getting us an order of cheese curds quickly. As well as checking on us several times for more drinks. Had it not been for her, we would have left.

their honey lager was great, atmosphere was fun, other people were cool to chill with, well decorated and spaced out. problem was our food order and service. our service was too attentive when we got there, and then when night got more crowded she was overwhelmed with too many tables and it took us a while to get boxes and close our tab. Also the chicken tenders were recommended as the most fresh item and meat and breading was dry. Next time we'll eat before and just watch the games, play pool, and drink some beers.

3 weeks ago my wife fell and broke both her wrists, so to say she has pretty much been housebound is an understatement. We spend alot of time in Tempe with are dogs when the weather gets cool on Tempe lake and usually we find a pet friendly place for lunch. She was feeling better today so we chose Boondocks after a walk on the lake. We were not disappointed as the service and food were exceptional. We got there right after open and the bartender immediately got us a table set on the patio and brought water bowls out for the pups. I've been dying for a good patty melt and this one was awesome. My wife ordered fish and chips and it came with 3 large pieces and some great fries. They even had a pup menu and we ordered the Mac and Cheese appetizer for them and the bow wow chicken!! That Mac and Cheese OMG!! Thank you for the great lunch and service , we will make this our Tempe stop from now on!! The prices are very fair, I've spent alot more than what I spent today for alot less food!!!!!

Just moved to the area and tonight was my first time at this Boondocks location. Very cool, very affordable, but Ava is why I will come back! She made us feel so welcome, like family. Ava is my new favorite bartender! And the reason why this is my new favorite bar.
