Subject: Urgent Request for Assistance with Rescued Dogs Dear Municipio Autonomo de Ponce I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today with a heartfelt and urgent plea for help regarding three dogs I rescued, along with their seven newborn puppies. First and foremost, I want to express my deep love and compassion for animals—dogs, in particular, have always held a special place in my heart. However, I find myself in an overwhelming situation that has taken a significant toll on my physical and mental well-being. In December 2024, I took in three dogs who were at risk of being abandoned. Since then, I have been tirelessly searching for forever homes for them, but unfortunately, my efforts have been unsuccessful. The situation has become increasingly stressful, especially after one of the female dogs gave birth to seven puppies on December 31, 2025. Caring for these dogs and their puppies has exacerbated my anxiety to the point where I am struggling to cope. I have experienced moments of extreme frustration, and I am deeply concerned about my ability to provide the care they deserve. The stress has affected my health, leading to episodes of exhaustion and emotional distress. Compounding this, my family is facing serious health challenges. My mother, who lives in New Jersey, has suffered two strokes, and my father recently had a heart attack. As their only caregiver, I must travel frequently to support them. Additionally, I have a heart condition that requires ongoing medical attention, and I may need a second heart surgery depending on upcoming test results. I am reaching out to you because I am at a breaking point. I cannot bear the thought of abandoning these dogs, not only because it is illegal and unethical but also because I care deeply about their well-being. However, with my declining health and family responsibilities, I am no longer able to provide the care they need. I understand that shelters are often at capacity, and I respect the incredible work you do under such challenging circumstances. But I am desperately hoping there might be any resources, guidance, or support you could offer—whether it’s fostering, adoption assistance, or even temporary relief. I am not one to ask for help lightly, but I am genuinely fearful for the dogs’ future and my own ability to manage this situation. If there is anything you can do, or if you can point me in the direction of someone who might be able to help, I would be forever grateful. Thank you for your time, compassion, and dedication to animals in need. I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Gamaier Rodriguez

I visited this excellent place to adopt a dog but due to a misunderstanding was not available. I left sad but will continue to try.
