(from Google)This dog park is always my go to since it is so close to home and it offers way more than just space for dogs. It is a full service park with playgrounds, fields and often aquatic centers, making it a great spot for you and your dog.
Great dog park. big rectangular fenced area with good grass coverage, picnic tables, nice tree cover and a couple shade structures. Smaller square fenced area in the middle with obstacle elements, not labeled for small or timid dogs just a smaller area for those not ready to commit to running around the whole park.
PARVO! I am posting this as I don’t have many contacts with the owners at this dog park. For ALL that know my dog Keyloh. Before I went on my trip I had taken him to this dog park where an irresponsible owner brought their parvo infected dog to play with other pups! I’m not sure what dog or owner it was but I am putting this out there for other owners to check their dog whether you have your dog vaccinated or not. Cause Keyloh was up to date on his parvo shots. So if he can get it so can your fur babies. Our family is devastated and are doing the best we can to treat him. We are raging as we may not find closure as to who did this to our baby.
Overall solid park. It has multiple gated points for safe entry/exit, variety of dogs and dog owners, and lots of different spaces with seating areas. Didn’t love the lack of clean water availability. There was an old bucket filled with water but the hose and drinking fountain didn’t work.
I have a small dog park in my apartment complex but day it was closed, so I googled to find one near me. We love Shawnee bark park and now we go twice a week. The people and nice and lots of room for the dogs to run and play
