Fantastic group of doctors and staff especially Dr. Alvarez. She is sweet, kind, patient, thorough and compassionate. Always going above and beyond her duties. Amazing experience with the vet tech and the vet, Dr. Colon. They had plenty of available appointments, everyone seemed to speak English and Spanish, were professional and on time, and explained everything very well. They were quick but not pushing us out the door either. Highly recommend. We had a WAY better experience at this Banfield than at any locations back in the States! UPDATE: we came back for the same issue, got a same-day appointment, Dr. Colon weighed options with us and gave us a referral for ultrasound, AND followed up with a phone call about a week later. I’m shocked in the most positive way possible. Great level of care.

I had call 24 hrs prior for a medication refill for my chihuahua, never was I called to be informed by refill was completed. Then I call today morning 8:30 am again asking for my chihuahua medication refill an Rx for his medication that I fill at an outpatient pharmacy. They where not aware of any refill request. So that was really negligent of the front staff from the day prior. So I was informed they will have all the medications ready. At 1 pm I called to make sure it was ready for pick up and was informed yes I would have 3 medications refilled with them and will have the Rx for the other medication. When I arrived at the at the facility at 2:45 pm I was informed the did not the lasix medication in stock, then the handed me the Rx for the Ladin and the atropine meds which was written incorrectly (in liquid instead of tablet). When I pointed it out to the front staff she stated “ that ml is another way to write milligrams”. I decided to educate her that her statement is wrong and to have the Rx re-written to be dispense in tablets! Then she informs me that the Vet that had written the Rx had left for the day so I had to wait for the other Vet to do me the courtesy of writing new correct Rx’s. What she told me would take 10 minutes turned to 45 minutes of waiting and the veterinarian had seen 2 pts while I waited. When I again ask was taking so long to have the Rx signed they said I had to wait. At this time it 3:45pm and I have to pick up my daughter at the daycare by 4pm. I express the need to get the Rx now and to have someone interrupt the vet to have the signatures! I was told to to be patient that he will get to it. I received the Rx At 4pm 1:15hrs after I arrived. Picked up my daughter late and continue to the pharmacy to drop off the Rx. I was then called by my pharmacy to be informed the the lasix dosage pill they did not carried and when the call the veterinarian to be able to dispense a higher dosage pill and split it 4 way instead of 1/2 he declined it and informed them to tell me I would need to go to the Animal emergency clinic to fill that prescription. Now I will never recommend anyone to this branch of Bannfield ever. Never have I had such horrible customer service and disrespect when I questions their policies. I will be canceling my plans and taking my pets to veterinarian that care and staff that are knowledge of medical terminology.
