Pioneer Park

Surrounded by chain link fence with no gate. This park appears to be for the birds?

Nice park for disc golf. Except for the leaking port-a-john at the north side of the park.

I only went once. And it was to throw disc golf with a friend. I don't play competitively, so I'm not good. But it's an easy course for learners with not a lot of obstacles. Which is nice when you're not trying to lose a disc right away

There aren't any shade areas other than the one gazebo at the entrance of the playground, so it makes it super hard to hang out there when it's hot out, however, that's anywhere. There are several groups that go to do disc golf on the course there. The playgrounds are new, and well designed. Lovely little touches in the equipment. The ground cover is that foam substrate that is ADA compliant. Some graffiti on some of the equipment, but it's a good little park!

Came to play the 9 hole disc golf course...first time there and no sign or anything to help describe where the holes and tee boxes are....after a bit of searching I found them a d so the second round was much easier. If there was a sign for course explanation I would guess that from the 2 you have to throw left of the soccer fields a d not cut straight through. Hole 3 is not viable from the tee box and it's over the river. Most tee boxes were muddy and over saturated, and I believe starting at 6, the part beneith the upper soccer fields, was reclaimed swamp land...it was sooo soggy, very loose a d the tee box for hole 9 was even under water. It is a fun little course though and the park looked like it would be fun for the kids!
