I preface this review with it will be expensive. I knew that going into it. They do tell you an estimate at the beginning, and I did not feel shamed for what we could and could not do price wise. They treated my dog with tremendous care. We weren’t sure if she would respond to treatment at all, but she is home and happy. I cannot say enough how invaluable they were for us. Worth every bit that we paid.

Thanks for being open at least. The Vet checked Genie and took info but then they disappeared. Either really busy or forgot about us. Have button push if no update in 30 - 45 minutes but was scared to push it if they were busy. Sat 90 minutes then finally gave in and pushed it. Now waiting on someone.

Our 5 yr old dug Into something our yard. He severely cut through all his paw pads to the bone. One toe was hanging on. We drove an hr to this vet. We had to pay $4500 for them to stitch him up plus $500 to do cpr during” just incase” while he was under. Thankfully, my husband got approved for afterpay. How do people afford this. They wouldn’t help until we paid the lower end of the estimate which was the $4500. We arrived around 7pm- he didn’t go back until midnight-1am and then I had to pick him up around 6am.

During the day the Highland Pet hospital is amazing and so helpful. The emergency clinic is another story. My puppy was choking on a bone I removed from her throat myself. Afterward she was having odd neurological ticks like she had lost a lot of oxygen. The clinic decided she had eaten cannabis and that was the reason for her behavior. They did no testing to arrive at their conclusion. In fact they went so far to imply our dog had trauma. I left. Turns out she drank toilet bowl cleaner out of the toilet which made her lethargic and choke on the bone. She was also oxygen deprived. I've never seen techs who really don't like animals until after I encountered these techs. Their behavior scared my dog

Unfortunately, on Sunday, 10/19/2025, our cat had to be put down. She had been battling a thyroid condition for a while and unfortunately, lost her fight. We rushed her to the animal emergency clinic, and as soon as we got there, it felt as though our cat was just another cat. Only one person seemed to genuinely be sorry for us, it seemed like they just wanted our money, and when we came to pick up her body the next day, the paw prints that they took on the piece paper were all smudged and looked like they just honestly didn't try. They also did a print of her nose, which they didn't mention or get our permission for, and we don't like the idea of them messing with her face. The only reason I gave them 2 stars and not zero, is because of the one person that night that seemed genuine and the receptionist the next when we picked our cat up.
