Nice scenery, quiet, not many people, good place for fishing
Saw one of the best sunset...!
We have lived in the area off and on for the last 11 years. Avery Point Beach was one of the first places we visited and continues to be a spot we return to again. The views of the Sound are fantastic. You can drive up close to the beach and get a relaxing view at sunset. If you are lucky, you can catch a Sub going out or coming into the river. There's lots of sailboats durong the season, and ferries moving past here daily.
Great location at the beginning of the harbor and beautiful views of the lighthouse.
