(from Google)I visited this peaceful and underrated location on Wed, 29 Oct 2025 to catch San Francisco’s sunset over the Pacific Ocean and words cannot describe how beautiful it was.
For over 30 years I brought my mother here when I visit. We would walk back and forth, sit to enjoy the views. We have seen many breeching humpback whales when they are migrating. Bring binoculars and you can watch marine life. Bring an extra layer of clothing as is frequently foggy and chilly, even in summer. Well worth the visit.
Washed out trail. Goes through Thousna trail rv park where we stayed. A few people on trail that we weren't wanting to walk through the rv park. But we just viewed from the high point to watch sunset and it was still a great view
Beautiful place to watch the sunset! A walk down to the beach. Trail is closed at the moment but you can walk along the beach or above the beach. Also some shops nearby!
I didn’t know this trail could stretch so long, all the way to Mori Point, starting from the pier near the residential apartment buildings and houses, where has some benches to sit. I saw some folks having their takeout meals and chatting with friends. Then you can walk out to the sea through Municipal Pier to watch the breathtaking waves and people fishing. The best part is Sharp Park Beach at the end.
