We love Dr Limdsay. 3 years now of being our Equine vet for our 3 boys! She's incredibly knowledgeable and is amazing at caring for our boys and advising us on how to care for them in the best way we can to support all their individual needs!

My favorite of all equine Veterinary services. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and Dr Shafer and Dr Hall are just amazing and Dr Bessert, who trades after hours emergency services with Shafer equine is a superb veterinarian also. I can't say enough good things about all of the veterinarians and the staff. I have 35 horses and I can do a lot of things myself but these folks have helped me out so much this year and I am so grateful.

Dr. Shafer in particular and his staff are some of the kindest and humane people. Yes, they have a job to do, but they somehow manage to do it in a way that is caring and informative. When I had to come to the decision to put my gelding down, Dr. Shafer and his tech walked me through the process and were with me the entire way. One thing that he said that was the most helpful and I have started using when the clinic I work at has to euthanize, is that I’m making the right call. It’s easy to be able to look at someone else’s animal and be able to say yes, it needs to happen, but when it’s your own, there’s often times a feeling of guilt associated with it. Dr. Shafer doesn’t know it, but he made such an impression on me that day that I can’t explain.

I had recently moved to the area with my 31-year old gelding quarter horse that was not feeling well. Dr. Shaffer was very professional, diligent, and gracious with my equine friend of 26 years. It took a few visits over a short period of time but he's back up on all fours and running, literally. Thank you!

Knowledgeable staff and expert Dr Shafer. He even sought out extra help for us. Dr Shafer is an Angel hiding in a man's body. I would come here again. Thanks for doing all you can for Bocephus.
