Killens Pond State Park

Got to the park around 145 pm stood in line for over an hour. There was 8 kids and 4 adults. Meanwhile for the non purchased tickets there was a longer line, there was 2 families in front of us when we were up to almost the ticket booth to purchase our tickets, the 1st family had over 10 ppl jump in line ( they were dropped off) with them so that they could get in and not have to stand at the end of the line for purchasing tickets . meanwhile that park worker tells us that they are at compacity and that my family could not come in. we told them what happened and then had the nerve to say that we should have told them. it was happening right in front of them. Killens Pond will not have my business. that was unacceptable.

Reduced my star rating to a one after being confronted by officer, Ryan asking for my parking pass to be on my vehicle. I had just gone to my campsite to retrieve it from the post and was walking to my vehicle with the parking pass in my hand, he could visibly see it, and he asked me to put it on my vehicle which I could not have done any quicker than the procedure that I followed. I have been staying here for five weeks, not consecutively, but I’ve never been treated so unprofessionally by a young man in my life Otherwise has Very clean bath houses; organized well kept sites. On the other side of the park, away from the campsites, there is a huge section with a pool and waterslides, but it is not open yet for the season so I cannot comment on that. Overall , I think this park is a hidden gem. Make sure to bring your own firewood and avoid a power, hungry officer, Ryan, who is probably old enough to be my grandchild

Really nice park with trails. Went in November. A bathhouse was open. The nature center was not. It may be open on weekends until November 30.

The campground is nice though the sites in the middle of the loops back right up to a site in the next loop. We were in D6 which was nice and has a slight view of the pond. The bath houses are clean but showers do not offer a lot of privacy.

Nice lots. A bit small but they are flat. If you like hiking it's all right here in the park. Close to beach and the bay for day trips. The bath house while very clean ( team does a great job) I'm not to keen on the showers. No temp control on them. I have my dog with me, plenty of places to walk the dog!!
