Pet Supplies Plus Tampa

I love coming to this pet store! Not only its pretty close to home, but they really have everything you could need or want . They even have food brands other places don’t. Always have deals & promotions which beat big store brands (don’t even wanna buy from them anyways lol) The staff is always friendly & willing to help. I recently bought cat food by mistake for my dog and they exchanged it for me without hesitation. Although it was completely my fault it’s nice to know they were willing to be accommodating. Totally recommend this place over any other pet store! P.S: If you’re unsatisfied about something, contact them first before writing a negative review- I’m sure they’ll make it right!

If it’s 656pm and your open light is on and your doors opened when I walked up. Please don’t tell me when I enter that your store is closing in 3 min. Just bad customer service. I guess you don’t want the monetary business and would rather say that to a customer walking in. If you don’t want customers to come in close to closing then turn off your light and lock the doors. I should have just walked out and took my $50 purchase to another store. Oh and by the way receipt says I cashed out at 701pm. Did the extra minute I was in there really hurt you?

I ordered large bags of dog food with some additional treats during the holiday, they were delivered in these giant sacks which I later learned that it was not just for the holidays they do that on the regular, very beautiful and functional it protects your order from the elements and lets it breathe at the same time.

Update Jan 2025: I had three more washes on my 5 washes for $25 card, so decided to use one today. The washing stations were in a little better shape than over a year ago, when I was last here. Super friendly staff. Newer, adjustable sprayer on hose. Shampoo ok, could barely make out the label on one. Lots of clean towels. But the room, wash stations and shelving are grungy and rusty. 2024 Review: I mainly go here for the dog washing area. It has gone downhill since I was there several months ago. It had gone substantially downhill since I started going here a few years ago. Only two towels on the rack for my two dogs and they were damp. Soap no longer goes through the shower attachment. Just bottles. Only one of the two tubs had any shampoo, and two of the types had empty bottles, the third was almost empty, and none of them had pumps or the pump was not working. Sliding side door to one of the two tubs was not working, just open. Dirty. Staff got me more towels and they were dry. I have a few more prepaid washes that I may use. But if it had not improved then I am done / will not return.

I've been saving my review for this store, because what an incredible place with some of the friendliest staff anywhere. As soon as you walk in you're taken away by the variety of foods, toys, accessories you can ever want for your pet. I originally stopped in after they opened a few years ago for freeze dried shrimp for my turtle. Since then I've returned almost weekly. They carry accessories that you will not find at conventional pet stores. They've got all types of insects for lizards and reptiles, live fish and aquarium supplies. Live birds and feed. Finally the best selection of holistic dog & cat food in town! All at fair pricing 🤑 Lastly I have to mention the pet rescue they work with, A Promised Land rescue. Very cute kittens who come into the store for adoption. That's how I was able to adopt my little ginger guy Knuckles back in June 2022 🐈 You will not be disappointed just stopping in. Best wishes 🐱😎✌🏼
