This park has become seedy and is in severe decline. The general area has been repopulated with a large influence of homelessness. Numerous unsheltered people call this park home and will stay overnight. It's not uncommon that you will be approached or aggressively panhandled while visiting this facility by people who fail to respect your personal space or safety.

There will be a couple homeless people but they tend to stay away from the playground area, further back behind the trees. If you drop anything like a vape pen, like my friend did, don't expect to find it. I looked everywhere. Someone definitely took it. So make sure to keep track of your belongings and you shouldn't have any issues. The park is fairly clean, the only part that had trash was the dirt area under a section of trees near the back of the park. The grassy areas were cut and clear of trash. It's also fairly quiet despite being so close to speedway. There are around 3-4 pokestops there, if you play Pokemon go. There's two gyms a short walk away at Oregano's and across the street.

Love this park but there is an open air drug market here now. It’s still a safe place for a citizen to go. The druggies will ask you for a cigarette or lighter to assess you, just say no, and they will leave you alone.

This park was great but it was not in the best area. There were many sensory stations for the children and a few tables for the adults to be able to keep an eye in the kiddos. This park has a retail sales booth, at least five sensory station toys, a set of drums and chimes, slides, a swing set, and a lot of balancing stairs and obstacles.

I've been coming to this park for almost 48 years now. The city recently upgraded the playground equipment, but one of the original swing sets and the original monkey bars are still in place. Currently the city is installing shading over the newer playground equipment. There are a few picnic tables and even a grill that can be used with charcoal or wood. All in all this is a great family park.
