(from Google)Always a beautiful outing! Still very green now but colors are starting to change
It’s a wonderful place filled with families enjoying life. We met people from Bangladesh, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic, all of whom were very nice. There were so many wonderful people there on Monday. The only issue we encountered was that we brought a kayak, and we had to have lunch at a different spot on the beach. This meant we had to walk a long distance from the lake to reach it. You can't be in both places at the same time, so it would be more convenient if the boat launch area were closer to the beach and the restrooms. The scenery is beautiful, with the lake nestled between the mountains, making it feel surreal.
Very nice and relaxing place to go and kayak. Very peaceful and serene location to have a picnic with family and friends.
Good place for walk or picnic. Their is hidden trails too, but it's so beautiful and adventurous. Love the place and trails. Good maintainance but request to the visitor: please take ur trash with u do not throw ur garbage in Nature.
This was a great day for my wife and I. Although the beach area was closed to swimming during to the pandemic, we were able to swim off shore with our kayaks. It's a beautiful lake and the scenery is amazing. Theres friendly people even including the local Turkey Vultures who just seem to like to be part of the crowd hanging out. Theres a push off docking area and grills to cook on with picnic tables and plenty of room to lay out and relax. Make sure before you swim though to check the website to see if the algae conditions are up to safe standards.
