(from Google)I always love this park. It quiet, never crowed and just a good place to enjoy outside. I did my mother's balloon release here!!
I like this park very fun and safe and they have bathrooms
Neighborhood park for Eastmont Hills and surrounding area. Named after a prominent early teacher, astronomer and director of the Chabot Observatory, Charles Burkhalter. It's a fairly basic park, baseball field, tennis court, basketball court, picnic area with an outdoor kids classroom, play structures with one swing. Men's and women's bathroom. It's reasonably well maintained but prone to getting graffitied in the bathroom. Every few months it gets tagged again. Small parking lot. Adjacent to Highway for easy access but also pollution. Parking lot seems to get a lot of traffic from people that like to litter, doesn't feel that comfortable to be there after sundown.
Saw a man practise golf, which was pretty awesome. Found a broken Portable Play Station. There’s a playground too. This park is quite awesome, due to the general lack of greenery, every park in Oakland is a gem.
Clean restrooms, right off 580 fwy., place to kill time during commute, stretch legs, and a really nice tot lot and ballfields. One of Oaklands cleaner parks. Great job O.P.W.A.
