Fantastic place to visit! Gorgeous, well maintained grounds, animal area is just ok, take the tour(s), we'll worth it. Big gift shop. Take the dog. You can stroll around without paying admission or fees.

A beautiful Charleston must-see. We visited in the winter, but the beauty of every season is easy to see here. The cafe was pretty good. We had the pulled pork sandwich meals, baked chicken meal, and loaded nachos with pulled pork. Their hot chocolate was the only disappointing item, as it had no cream or milk, all water.

A very relaxing and picturesque experience. I visited on December 30th and was reminded that every season has its own charm. I went with my adult son, and we both really enjoyed the train tour—well organized and with a fascinating historical explanation. The staff was professional, everything is clearly marked, and it’s easy to explore. I would definitely return and highly recommend it, especially for families with children. A beautiful, peaceful, and enjoyable visit.

Beautiful grounds and scenery. Saw the outside of the house but we didn't plan ahead and buy tickets online so we didn't get a tour inside but was beautiful none the less. We saw an alligator which is exciting to people from the north. A lot of history in a grounds that was established in the late 1600s. A lot of walking and beautiful paths plus dog friendly outside of buildings!
