Gateway is the best animal hospital in St Petersburg my dog was slowly dying all the other veterinarian clinics wanted me to wait 3 days and some even 5 days Dr macklemore's office took him right away unfortunately he passed away but they stayed with me the whole way through till the end the most caring and giving and selfless staff everyone there what's so wonderful to me with five doctors and 50 years plus of veterinarian knowledge and care I don't think I'll ever bring my animals anywhere else but there I highly recommend them when you're in time need they will always pull through for you no matter when and what time they are the best animal hospital in the entire St Pete I would never go anywhere else thank you Dr McLemore and staff for your love caring and kindness with all my heart Dr Alan Newman

I appreciate the specialized care that Chester gets at your facility. Sometimes former strays aren't always given allowances like that and I've felt that over the years, but I have nothing but glowing compliments and gratitude for everything you-all do for little Chester, handful that he is. He's such an important and loyal friend to me, so thank you for treating us with respect and helping guide me in how I can keep up on AND improve his health. :)

Wonderful experience from beginning to end at Gateway Animal Hospital today! I’ve brought my beloved pets here for 30 years. Today Michelle was performing a procedure on my Shepherd mix and everything went professionally from beginning to end. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and thorough at her work. The great doctors, front desk, staff, assistants, and great vet techs, like Michelle and Gigi, keep me coming back with the loves of my life. Thanks, Gateway!

We’ve been using Gateway Animal Hospital for our pets healthcare needs since 1997! Always professional, respectful, and caring. Never felt pressured into making care decisions and treatment options were always explained in detail. Dr Burgard has been our vet for a number of yrs and brings a wealth of experience with him. We always feel comfortable with his diagnosis and advice. And Michelle is the real deal folks! She goes above and beyond to insure your pet receives the best possible care. Always available to answer questions and explain procedures and after care instructions. She is an extremely valuable asset to any vet she’s assisting. Great doctors, great nurses, great staff! (Everyone at the desk is so nice, my dog doesn’t even mind getting a nail trim!) What more could you ask for!
