Healthy Pet Store Aurora

First time coming here Just moved from far Northside chicago to aurora. Needed a self service dog wash came across this spot best decision ive made. Gwen was very helpful with setting up the bathing room bringing us towels & shampoo she even asked which kind do we prefer something only scented or for sensitive skin! We picked up a scent spray & a deshedding brush & on the way to check out my dog grabbed a big ol treat! Best to say he was a happy clean dog on the way out! Reasonably priced items we'll definitely be back again!

TAYLOR TAYLOR TAYLOR!!! Say it with us, we love TAYLOR as our groomer!!!! Despite all the reviews I see on here, Taylor specifically has redeemed my experience and expectations. (Yes, they hired questionable staff in the past for grooming. This review could have gone differently if Taylor had not fixed their mistakes. So--ask for TAYLOR!!) Listen, I became a certified dog trainer for my dogs, and I explored several groomers. My dogs are my family. I have two breeds with completely opposite needs. My Aussie always needs the full work-up while my skittish cattle dog will shut down over a simple nail trim. Taylor trained alongside someone we formerly loved and used here, Rachel. I kid you not--my Aussie has never felt so soft and cleaned up with a modestly nice smell. I love snuggling her after the groom. ( Which is a big deal because her fur always felt crunchy/dry and she'd reek of whatever dog perfume other places used--causing itching and sneezing ) As for my Cattle dog, he never likes going out and typically shuts down. Nurses and staff usually have to carry him. Sometimes he refuses treats entirely. Not only do I always love how nice his nails look, he WALKS with Taylor to the back to get them done. Taylor is not only an honest groomer who genuinely listens, my dogs behavior tells me everything. My Aussie RUNS to the door to see Taylor. Look at the photos yourself: nicely grinded nails on my cattle dog, and a nice cleaned up booty on my Aussie with no grinch feet :)

I’m all for supporting small businesses so I have been coming here for a couple years now specially since they are the only store in the area that carries my cats brand of food. I came in today to purchase more cans of the Koha Rabbit formula wet food. The price on the shelf was 3.69 or close to that range. After paying and looking at my receipt I realized I was charged $4.49 per can!! I ran back in to double check the self and the gentleman was standing there apologized and stated he hadn’t changed the price on the shelf yet to reflect the change at the register. He then said he could return the items I said well no she needs to eat. And he just apologized again. I didn’t yell or put up a fight I simply stated I would just eat the cost and left. In my opinion the right thing to do would have been to offer the customer an adjustment and return the difference in charge. But there was no sort of compensation. I will most likely no longer return and have to find another source to purchase my cats food. Very disappointed.

Gwen was a pro sales person when I was new to the store and desperate to find new foods my sick 18 year old dog! First air dried food i opened was eaten! Im thrilled with the selection and most importantly staff that is well informed, helpful and very knowledgeable with so many choices. Thank you!

I absolutely love this store ! I find it hard to go in and not spend $100+ , but not because the prices are crazy high, just because they have so many incredibly good quality items for my puppy and I want all of it ❤️ such a good supply of all the best foods, supplements, toys, etc. Not to mention, they have a groomer on site. Her name is Rachel, I'm pretty sure? She is always so sweet with my puppy. She comes back her appointments, all clean and soft and smelling good. They bathe her, clean her ears, clean her teeth, they do a nice paw treatment for her, and they file her nails soo perfectly. Thank you to everyone at Healthy Pet ! 💗 8/22/24 NEW UPDATE: just wanted to make another comment about how amazing Rachel is ! (She's a groomer at Healthy Pet) she goes above and beyond for my girl every time. I have never seen someone get her nails as perfect and short and smooth as she does. Have you ever seen a girl this happy after a grooming appt ? Thanks Rachel !
