(from Google)Dr. Brittany Thompson took great care of my kitten. She explained everything to me and even drew a diagram so she made sure that I understood what was going on. The rest of the staff were kind, they got me in quickly understanding that it was an urgent issue. I will definitely recommend them to others. Thank you Northpointe.
Went to this “emergency” vet when my boy cat had a urinary blockage (possibly fatal within 24-48 hours) last month, no one was there, they were closed, and all there was was a note saying they’d be back at 8 a.m. it was 9 p.m at the time. LUCKILY my cat was fine when we went to a different vet to get him checked up the next day. This place is money hungry and hardly an emergency vet. Been here 3 times, never going back. I’d rather go to Chico/live oak/or Roseville. I also have a friend they baited into getting “exams” for there cat when looking to get the cat spayed just so they can get more money. Stool sample to see if she has worms? I can tell you 100% certainty she doesn’t have worms. Ridiculous.
Absolutely awful and money hungry! We had a terrible experience here. There is a female vet there I didn’t get her name but she was just absolutely no help and was hesitant to even help my dog out and not doing what we were asking. They charged us so much money and claimed to give my dog medicine, but I am highly sure that they did nothing and just sent us out and still charging us hundreds of dollars. Terrible never come here, I’m sure they would rather let your animals die and charge you for it!
Today I had an emergency with my standard poodle. She had puppies a few days ago and was acting off. I took her here and they were awesome. They have an amazing tech named Karen Tye!! She helped me so much and made me feel heard. She is very knowledgeable in reproduction. The vet Dr Masae Suda was also very helpful and understanding. I feel I was charged a fair price and Pheobe got great care. Thank you Karen and Dr Suda
While saying good morning to Athena I noticed a huge welt/mass under her eye that wasn’t there before we went to bed. Fearing it was an allergic reaction or something in her eye, she needed urgent care. My normal vet was short staffed and couldn’t get her in so I went to VCA Northpointe Animal Hospital. They were so attentive, caring, and friendly. Despite having an hour half- two hour wait, they provide triage care and gave us an exam room to wait in so that we weren’t stuck in my car or in the waiting room with a bunch of other pets. Our bill was under $250- which included a week supply of medicine!! Athena can be anxious when getting medical care, especially if I can’t be present, but the staff were obviously great and wholesome because Athena did just fine when they took her back to see the doctor without me, and all the staff loved her. Athena is 140lbs, so the fact that they could handle her so well and independently shows their level of skill set. She came out tail wagging and after an exam the the vet was luckily able to determine that there was nothing lodged in her eye and that she wouldn’t require additional treatment or tests. I feel so appreciative of the team there. And grateful that for emergency care, the bill was less than my vet would have been for normal care. Highly highly recommend!!
