(from Google)PappaRich, a Malaysian restaurant at Bellaire Food Street, offers delicious food and excellent value. The attentive servers are very considerate of families with kids. I really enjoyed my experience!
Always fun to go to this dessert bar for their different themes.
If you haven’t revisited Belair Food Street Plaza lately, honey… you’re missing out on a whole glow-up. This spot has officially transformed from “solid Asian eats” into a full-blown culinary runway — where every shop wants to be the next it-girl of desserts, drinks, or design. We’re talking croissants with better layering than your ex’s excuses, boba that dresses better than half the people at brunch, and ramen bowls deep enough to drown your weekday stress in. Let’s break it down, runway-style: 👑 Le Kream – The cube croissants are the main character. Flaky, buttery, filled with matcha, yuzu, or sesame cream… they’re the edible version of a mic drop. Even the packaging feels like it’s ready for a Vogue spread. 🎀 Popfancy Dessert Bar – Think cosplay meets cocktails. Their rotating themes (K-pop, anime, Labubu) pull crowds for a reason — and the line out the door? That’s the velvet rope of the Bellaire dessert scene. 🌶️ PappaRich – Malaysian comfort food that hits like a spicy hug. Nasi lemak, curry laksa, roti so flaky it could ghost you after dinner. The real ones know. 🍜 Ichiro Sapporo Ramen – Creamy tonkotsu that’ll quiet your inner critic. 🐓 Soho Chicken – Korean fried chicken so crunchy you can hear it across the plaza. Bonus points for their bold flavors and decent heat levels. 🧋 Tiger Sugar – You already know. Brown sugar boba with swirl patterns more hypnotizing than your last situationship. 🍧 Meet Fresh – Classic Taiwanese desserts that taste like a soft reset for your soul. And that’s just the starters. Every time I come back, someone new is trying to snatch the crown. ✨ Aesthetic Check The whole plaza got the memo: stay cute or get out. Clean walkways, well-lit storefronts, and no weird smells in sight — which, let’s be real, is a low bar some plazas still fail to clear. This is the kind of place you accidentally spend three hours at and still feel like you didn’t try enough. 🚨 Parking Warning (a.k.a. The Chaos Zone) Weekend parking? A mild form of punishment. Come early, come late, or come with backup. Either way, wear your lucky shoes because you might be doing laps. But once you’re inside, you’ll forget all about it. 🧠 Pro Tip: Do yourself a favor: come hungry, bring a power bank, and pretend you’re scouting for the next season of “Foodie Wars: Houston Edition.” This plaza knows it’s hot. The question is — can you keep up? Empowered by review queen🫅 Another review by Monkey King Media — empowered by your queen, where words turn to waves and your business stays unforgettable.
Food is from one of the restaurants on this strip, and everything was sooooo goood!!! The desserts are from a Dragon Ball Pop up shop, which was really nice also! Enjoyed the atmosphere greatly.
Pop fancy is an anime lovers dream with free retro arcades and delicious deserts that change with each theme. They've had Harry Potter themed nights as well as anime, super hero, 90s anime, and so much more. The area is lively and there is so much going on that you can feel the energy in the air. Their Instagram will tell you the different activities they have. If you love cosplay, anime, or arcade games this is definitely the spot!
