(from Google)I just started taking my dogs here, and we absolutely love the staff and Dr. Trimarchi ! One of my dogs is very skiddish at any vet office, but the staff here is so caring and will do anything to make your pet feel safe. Hazel needed labs today for her annual and even though she was high as a kite😳she still wouldn’t let them draw labs- after a few attempts, we got it done! I have to thank Dr. Trimarchi and Andrea for being so patient with my girl this morning- I highly recommend Westside, all their staff is beyond kind and makes you feel at ease ❤️🐾
My two cats and puppy were patients here until we moved to another state this May. We had absolutely nice experience with Dr. Mayer. My cats have mild asthma, my dog has allergies. My puppy also got his neutering surgery here, it also went very well……Now every time my babies need to get vaccinated or are sick, I miss Westside. People here are reliable and very experienced.
We've been here so often we're getting frequent flyer points! In all seriousness, the staff at Westside have always been friendly, courteous, and professional. We can't recommend them highly enough! They've been our go-to vet for our dog and our cat for about 5 years now.
I visited this vet last Wednesday with my cat after noticing suspicious fluorescence on his belly under a Wood’s lamp. To my surprise, this clinic didn’t even have a Wood’s lamp—an essential tool that costs less than $20. The vet shaved some fur and found a scab but said it didn’t look like ringworm. Since I was very worried and had upcoming travel on Friday, I wanted to know if any precautionary steps were necessary before leaving. They suggested a ringworm PCR test for $160 and assured me I’d receive the results by Friday. However, I never heard back—not by Friday, not even by Monday. When I called, they told me the doctor was on leave. I asked if another available doctor could simply send me the results, and they promised a callback, which never happened. I don’t think my request was unreasonable—I just wanted timely information to care for my pet. Unfortunately, this clinic showed no urgency, no empathy for pet owners, and no professionalism. Instead, they seemed more focused on making money than on actually helping animals.
Westside Animal Hospital's staff and trio of DVMs are some of the absolute best in the Triangle. Caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgable, from their treatment of the bumps and scrapes of everyday life to regular, routine maintenance care and beyond is second to none. My five year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Trajan, has been going to Westside for his entire life and has a wonderful relationship with the veterinarians and they know him well. This team really goes the extra mile to take care of the animals they see, listen to their human family members' concerns, and recommend the best course(s) of action for any given situation. I cannot recommend Westside Animal Hospital highly enough to anyone in the area looking for a vet!
