(from Google)I first encountered Dr. Diamond and staff when seeking out a new vet for my elderly chihuahua mix. Growing old with my little loved one was difficult on many levels, but every time I brought my little girl in to visit the vet, I appreciated the compassionate and realistic approach Dr. Diamond offered me. When the time came of her passing, the staff was extremely compassionate and kind in assisting me on what to do (since she passed at home). My heart exploded with gratitude a month later when I received a sign card from the whole staff following up on my loss. Here we are, years later, and I am happy to be a bringing our newest member of the family to Clairemont Village Pet Clinic. After the first visit with our mini dachshund, it was great to see many of the same faces there. The clinic has a real neighborhood vibe to it. I noticed many furry patients that are regulars with owners that appear to be at ease because the staff treated them like family. When one dog/patient came in with their owner, there was excitement from every staff member...kind of like watching Norm walk into the bar in an episode of "Cheers." I recommend this small, yet mighty, clinic to all of my fellow pet parents!
I've been going to Dr. Diamond for 22 years. He is the best!! He's very knowable. He has taken excellent care of all of my cats. From the beginning of their lives until their last day. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Dr. Diamond is extremely competent and professional. Gives more thorough exams than other vets, all with reasonable pricing. You can tell he is very sharp and might pick up on things others miss. And he seems like he has a steady hand for surgical procedures. Definitely the most impressive veterinarian I’ve encountered in San Diego. Highly recommend.
I’ve been taking my kitty here for the past few years and they have always addressed my needs and made sure my kitty was okay. Recently I had to fly with her, and given how much she dislikes the car, I went in to seek advisement for medications that could be used to lower her stress. The waiting room was packed as many were picking up their pets after surgery. This was a bit overwhelming for my kitty, but you could tell the staff was working hard and doing their best given the demand. The vet did an amazing job at discussing medication options with me, and was happy to answer all of my questions, such as pharmacology, efficacy, and safety. I appreciate that the vet not only prescribed a medication that worked, but they spent the time to teach me what I needed to know, and were open to the questions that I had along the way. My kitty had a smooth plane ride, and I am so thankful to the team here for helping us travel safely!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Perry Diamond and his Clairemont Village Pet Clinic team. My dog Skye is usually very anxious about vet visits, but from the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to help her feel at ease. They took their time engaging with Skye, patiently letting her warm up at her own pace. When Dr. Diamond came in for her exam, Skye was calm and comfortable—something I’ve never seen at a vet’s office! Dr. Diamond himself was incredibly thorough and compassionate. He listened carefully to my concerns about Skye’s sensitive stomach and offered several treatment options, explaining each in detail. I appreciated that there was no pressure—just honest, thoughtful advice tailored to Skye’s needs. He never rushed us, which is such a rarity these days. I highly recommend Dr. Diamond and his excellent staff if you’re looking for a clinic that genuinely cares about your pet’s well-being and comfort. They’ve earned our trust and gratitude!
