Feathered Follies

My daughter and I went in on a lazy Sunday afternoon in hopes of seeing some beautiful birds, but we were surprised to find out that the birds were no longer on display. That’s ok, safety first! Anyhow, the employee Max, exceeded my expectation on what excellent customer service means. He explained the process of adoption, and what they look for in a new family for birds. Not only was he super friendly, but he was also very informative and you can tell this was more than a job to him because clearly he enjoyed what he was doing and he also enjoyed educating the public. There is nothing better than great customer service. Thanks Max! My daughter was able to hang out with a cockatiel and I think she really enjoyed it and might change her mind about getting a love bird. Squiggles was super friendly and we enjoyed every minute of our time at Feathered Follies. Keep up the great work!

This is an amazing place to get birds from. I got my 2 English budgies from this store. The staff are awesome and knowledgeable! They take very good care of their birds. I remember talking with the 2 staff members at the store for quite some time. Nice bass by the way. And hopefully your sister can catch some catfish soon!! I really enjoy Tofu Tuesday's!! 🥰❤️ Thanks again for my 2 amazing lil' birds (king Louie, and Blue Dream).

Such a wonderful place to see and interact with birds and my kids always feel welcome to come hold and feed them. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable and have such a passion for the well being of birds. Come check it out!

Got my eldest green cheek conure from Feathered Follies 21 years ago. I picked her because she was the only baby out of her clutch to attack me on sight! She's grown up to be the most cuddly and patient out of all my birds; she's been a great role model to them. She's also a cancer survivor, having been in remission for four years! These critters aren't the easiest to house. They're wild animals (not domesticated), thus there's a large learning curve to living with them. But they're precious and deserving of all the love and care you give. They're one of the most socially complex and rewarding critters you can ever bring into your home. I'm beyond greatful my little old bird is still with me after 21 years. I heard what happened with Tofu, the store bird. I'm so glad he was found safe and sound! Wishing luck to the team and owner right now. You all are great and I'm so happy you're helping us bird owners in the Bay Area.

A cautionary tale They will Overcharge you for everything. As well as hide health information on the birds they sell you. Or not research the bird altogether! They had my bird for four months. They didn’t see the ailment he’s been going through for two years in that time. I could see it the first day!!. They’re inept, naïve and not capable of making moral decisions. Instead choosing to hide behind a contract that is very self-serving. My bird had a seizure the day I left with him. They never said a word🤐. They don't care about what’s right. They just want to get as much money out of you as possible. This was my experience. They took massive advantage of me. Please read the story in there yelp page. As well as many other people having similar stories about the train wreck that is feathered Follies. They took me for 1600$ on a twenty year old bird with a lame leg. They’re a money, hungry cash, grab company. Under the umbrella of saying there a good hearted adoption facility. Don’t believe it! I’ll be happy to share more of my story with you as well as how proof of my interaction with them and the soulless way they handled it if asked. So many inaccuracy in her below statement. All I’ll say is she copied and pasted her crafted words from yelp🤦‍♂️. Just read the bad reviews from both locations. you’ll see I’m telling the truth about what she does. Berkeley has a wonderful pet store full of wonderful birds that needs homes.
