Millcreek Pipeline Trail

Very steep at the beginning while you climb up. Then levels out and follows out of the canyon to a beautiful view of the valley. Several runners on this trail. Relatively busy. Right now, parking lot and start of trail had snow/ice that quickly turned to mud, then rock. Few moderate sized pipes lay along the trail. Trail crosses other trails but well marked. Will cost you $5 when you leave the forest

The trail is not well-maintained but easy- moderate. However, i went after a rain so it was muddy! The staff at the canyon entry was very rude, which is a dealbreaker for any visitors to come back here. Got to see the rainbow which is spectacular. Moreover, you can access 1 different trails from here- be aware of the bicyclist though since the road is quite narrow if you don't see them coming!

Quick and easy hike with a great view of SLC. Dog friendly trail and I saw a lot of well behaved pups! Off leash for odd days. Trailhead parking can be tight but was able to snag a spot weekday around 10. Great for pre or post work activity.

A beautiful and well-marked trail. We took the trail to the left that was 2 miles one-way, Rattlesnake trail I think. Lots of switchbacks but a very beautiful and pleasant hike! Lots of dogs, we went on an odd day so they were off-leash mostly. There are restrooms at the trailhead. Highly recommend!

Pipeline trail connects to other trails. We didn’t have signal so we didn’t scope out the trail correctly. I would have skipped this section (1.6 mile) and went straight to the actual peak (~4 miles one way). We started at 4:30pm and then got back out by 8:30pm. Pipeline is fine for a feeder and ride your bike. The hike is okay but once you connect to the peak, it is pretty moderately hard.
