Pine Ridge Pet Clinic

I would highly recommend this pet clinic! Dr. Forrest and all the staff are amazing! Our adult son is special needs, and his give year old guinea pig, Sierra, means the world to him! About 7 weeks ago, Sierra began having bouts of labored breathing, and respiratory distress. We took her to Dr. Forrest on April 25th, and after an exam and x- rays, found out that she had lung cancer. She prescribed Meloxicam to help with the pain, but that's really all she could do...it was a matter of time. Then a few days later the intensity of the respiratory episodes grew worse. However, between the episodes Sierra appeared fine and healthy. She had a shiny coat of fur, was eating well, and weighed 2 pounds. Guinea pigs hide their pain,.so we didn't know how much she was suffering during these attacks. After many tears, our son decided to take his beloved Sierra to Dr. Forrest. However, when we got there, he just wasn't ready to say good- bye. Dr. Forrest and her assistant tech were beyond amazing.! They allowed our son, my husband, and me, to sit in a room by ourselves while we decided. It took an hour and a half of tears and agonizing discussion. They were so patient, through it all! They would check in now and then, and ask if we had decided. The tech told us not to hurry, because these decisions take time. Our son finally decided that in his heart, he was certain this was not the right time to let Sierra go, and we now believe he made the right decision! That day will be etched in my mind forever!! I'll never forget how patient Dr. Forrest and the tech were with us that Saturday afternoon!! God heard our prayers, working through this wonderful staff. The labored breathing episodes began to get less frequent...maybe the Meloxicam helped Sierra relax more because of having less pain.. It's now June 4th, and Sierra is still with us. But she has developed life threatening constipation issues, perhaps a side effect of Meloxicam; and again Dr Forrest and her amazing team have gone above and beyond to help us care for Sierra! They call every other day for me to give an update, and offer suggestions as to what we can do! Even our own primary doctors have not showed this kind of concern, compassion, time,and patience with us as humans! And to think they would care they much for our son, and his beloved guinea pig is exemplary! As of yesterday, thanks to Dr. Forrest's suggestions, Sierra is doing better with this issue. We don't know how many weeks or months we will have with Sierra. We know her time is limited, but our son is treasuring each day he has with her!! I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary team. Over the past week, my dog Beans went through a very scary medical situation, and throughout the entire process they treated both of us with an incredible amount of compassion, patience, and genuine care. What stood out most to me was that they didn’t just treat my dog and send us on our way. Every morning when they open, they call to check on Beans and see how she’s recovering. That level of dedication is something I’ve never experienced before. During one of the most stressful times I’ve had as a pet owner, knowing that her veterinary team truly cared about her progress meant more than I can put into words. They took the time to answer my questions, explain my options, and support me through difficult decisions without judgment. Their kindness, empathy, and commitment to their patients are extraordinary. Beans is recovering, and I will always be grateful for the care and support we received. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that genuinely loves animals and treats pet owners like family, this is the place. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Beans and for me. I had an excellent experience at this veterinary office. They were able to see my rabbit quickly, which I truly appreciated—especially given how hard it can be to find care for exotic pets. From the moment I arrived, the staff was kind, attentive, and clearly compassionate. The veterinarian Dr. Forrest took the time to thoroughly examine my rabbit and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, without rushing or dismissing any concerns. I felt fully informed and confident in the care my pet received. The pricing was also very reasonable for the level of care and attention provided, which made the experience even better. It’s clear that this office genuinely cares about both the animals and their owners. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and professional veterinary team—especially for those with rabbits or other small pets. Thank you guys!

This office is fantastic. Dr. Forrest and everyone there provides the upmost care. I have brought one of my dogs there a few years ago but I recently brought my special needs chicken to the office due to her not feeling well and they were able to fit me in quickly. Dr. Forrest is knowledgeable on many animals, not just dogs and cats! She even provided special accommodations to fit us into the schedule on a Saturday to make sure ziggy (my chicken), was treated quickly for an infection she has. You can tell, she isn't just a vet, she has love for the animals she sees & wants the best for them. The girls are great there, they are very reassuring, made me feel ant ease, and provide exceptional care. Highly recommend Dr. Forrest and this office! Thank you!

We have an urgent - not quite emergency level - issue we needed resolved as soon as possible. Lisa was so incredibly helpful and personable.
