Had a birthday dinner here and food was better than expected. 3.75 stars Food 4 Atmosphere 3.5 Service 2.5 Cost to worth it rating: 3 (appetizers ~$20, entrees ~$30-40) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Duck purse dumplings (moneybags): delightful tasty dumplings. My fave item of the night. 4.75 stars - Garlic cheese bread: pizza format was unexpected. Very cheesy and garlicy in a good way. 4.5 stars - Sausage pepperoni was good with the crunchy doughy sourdough crust. 4 stars - Pork chop tender and flavorful. Good thickness and cooked nicely . Hit of the night 4.5 stars - Poke: pure and stacked w seaweed salad on bottom and wonton crisps on top to eat with. 4 stars - Fish and chips: solid. airy crispy battered pieces of fish. 4 stars - Burrata big cheese round on top of a butternut squash puree. 3.5 stars - Scallops with red curry: mild flavor scallops cooked fine 3.5 stars - Chicken yakitori: basic small skewers but with almost too much teriyaki sauce 3.25 - Group booking: can't do more than 8 online but called and they were accommodating and helpful. They were open to any number of people as long as we have them an accurate final count which I appreciated - Menu: has variety and we ended up going family style so we could try a bunch of things - Location right by Menlo Park train station which is convenient Midlights: - Cocktails were just ok Lowlights - Waitress didn't seem to be experienced and was not around much. She didn't seem to know how to open a bottle of bubbly and a bunch spilled out and looked uncomfortable with a large table.

We recently hosted an event at British Bankers Club with about 70 guests, and it was absolutely perfect! Initially, we were worried the space might feel too small, but it turned out to be just right. Everyone complimented the venue and how well everything came together. We even had a photo booth set up using a local vendor, Creative Impressions Photo Booth—I highly recommend them as well! The staff at British Bankers Club truly made the night special. Our servers, Sofia and Jose, were so friendly and kept everyone happy with delicious hors d’oeuvres. Min, the bartender, served top-notch, flavorful drinks, and Sam was the ultimate jack-of-all-trades, helping wherever needed. They all worked with a smile and ensured every guest had what they needed. A huge thank you to Nina, the event coordinator, and her assistant—they were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. Their support made everything so much easier. I’ll admit, I was nervous leading up to the event since I had never planned a party before. But the moment I walked in, I was relieved—the venue looked beautiful! I had toured it when the restaurant was closed, so I didn’t know how it would look at night. The lit-up decorations added a wonderful touch to the room’s presentation. We added a few extras like flowers, balloons, and candles, but honestly, the space is stunning on its own. Thank you to the entire team for making our event such a success. We can’t wait to host another one with you in the future!

All in all a disappointment. Went there with great anticipation of a wonderful experience after all the hype about what an upscale place this was. The only redeeming quality was the pomegratate, watermelon, shaved fennel salad. That was delcious. As for the rest of thew food; well, if you like fishy fish, then you'd be pleased. With a single bite it was clear the fish was not fresh and not only smelled bad, but tasted foul. The food was not hot, the presentation was uninspired and the taste was bland and lower than sub par. The staff were robotic although not unfriendly. They were nice enough, but came across as being very unahppy to be there. The music was loud and was reminiscent of a motel bar/lounge, circa 19790s. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. I would not return, nor recommend.

Such a wonderful place!!! You can eat downstairs outside on the patio, have a cocktail at the bar, be seated inside, or seated upstairs at the rooftop bar (during the warmer months). We love coming here. Also dog friendly if you sit outside. Beautifully decorated for the Holidays too!

A really nice trendy British feel of upscale but without the pretentiousness! I'd say the meals all looked really well presented and made tasty. Everyone seemed to love their dishes. I had the Prime Braised Beef Short Rib w/Yorkshire Pudding and it was FABULOUS. See my pic...it was definitely the envy of the table. The desserts also didn't disappoint with the Meyer Lemon Pavlova and Chocolate Budino. With a little Italian coffee...it was a treat. Highly recommend.
