(from Google)Got the bikes off the rack. Anticipation caused her to ride around the parking lot while I used the restroom. The thorn that caused lined tires to go flat. Spent until early afternoon getting tire fixed.
When you drive by you see the awesome Zipline playground equipment so we had to try it. What fun. It's a really nice fully fenced park which is nice with little ones. Very clean and nice bathroom. They need to put The canopies back from after the storms. It is very sunny to try to sit in the picnic table area. But it's very nice park. And if you go down in there are basketball courts and more stuff. Will come again.
This is a biking and walking trail. We usually walk from the McMullen Booth Road parking. It has new bathrooms and parking lot. The playground is in the shade of trees and fenced in. There are tennis courts, basketball courts too. We usually walk East to Bayshore Drive but on this visit we walked across the Pedestrian overpass on M Mullen Booth Rd. West. This passes softball /baseball fields then winds down to Kapok Park. Taking the boardwalk we go around a lake where the path comes to a large field. This is a Loop back to the sign for Kapok Park. The Ream Wilson Trail continues west for those wanting a longer walk or usually bike ride.
My husband and I walked from Cliff Stephens Park to Safety Harbor and back. There is a nice amount of shade from the beautiful trees. The elevation changes a long the trail, which we enjoyed. We saw a small alligator in the pond at Safety Harbor.
Nice separated path for walking, running and rolling. As of this review, the bridge over McMullen Booth is undergoing repairs through April 2024. That cuts the trail in half with rough access across McMullen Booth. I stayed on the east side and had a great leisurely ride to Safety Harbor. Lovely parks and scenery with bike pumps, playground, picnic areas and jungle gym equipment along the way. Restrooms and water fountains available in parks along the route. Plenty of dogs spotted.
