Cottonwood Beach

I love this beach! When my clients are considering Washougal, Cottonwood Beach is one of the first things I mention. Wide sandy shores, mountain views, and it’s beautiful every season of the year. Families, retirees, and outdoor lovers — everyone finds something to love here. It’s honestly one of the best kept secrets along the Columbia and a huge selling point for the area. Washougal is special, and this beach is definitely part of why.

The only reason I did not give it 4 stars is because it gets really busy during summer and is almost impossible to get a spot on the beach if you come late in the morning. Also, the mosquitoes get really bad certain times of the year. Beautiful local beach.

Beautiful place to let time sitting down, if you know what I mean

Stopped by on a hot day, and the cool water was just what we needed. There’s a large sandy beach with lots of room to spread out. The riverbed slopes down slowly, so it’s great for little kids. There’s a bathroom by the parking area that includes a foot wash station, but I didn’t see any showers.

Alright, I'm disappointed I found this beach at the end of summer. It's got lots of parking, clean facilities, and lots of beach. I've gone to Frenchmen bar a bunch but I might start going to this one cause it's closer and just as nice.
