(from Google)We had friends in town so we drove up Indian river drive from Stuart, Florida to the jetty’s. Although they are working on dredging the beach, we were still able to access the jetty. We saw sea turtles bobbing up and down along the rocks! In 40 years of living here-never have had the pleasure of seeing them so abundant! While there a guy fishing caught a nurse shark too! Lots of pelicans posing for the camera. Beautiful day.
Fort Pierce Jetty and Inlet is a beautiful and iconic waterfront destination on Florida’s Treasure Coast, offering sweeping ocean views, a dramatic inlet channel, rocky jetties, and a classic Florida boating and fishing atmosphere. Whether seen from land or by boat, it feels like a memorable gateway between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean.
I recently visited the Fort Pierce Jetty while in town seeing my mom, and I completely fell in love with the place. The views are absolutely beautiful whether you’re looking out at the ocean, watching the boats go by, or just taking in the scenery, it’s truly peaceful and breathtaking. The atmosphere there is something special. It’s calm, relaxing, and perfect for just unwinding and enjoying the moment. What made the experience even better was the people everyone I came across was so friendly and welcoming, which made it feel even more like a hidden gem. This place left such an amazing impression on me.
Great spot for a little R&R... Go fishing on the jetty, hmbring your lunch and eat at the picnic tables, grills available. Couples swings to rest on, or just take a walk. Couple restaurants close by, restrooms available (but kinda nasty)... Or bring your own lawn chair and watch all the boats going by...
