(from Google)Experience really depends on your staff. I always come in for aquarium supplies, and the selection is pretty good. I wish some tanks were a bit more ethical, many fish look stressed. Some workers have decent knowledge about aquariums and some should not be giving advice to beginners before they purchase a live animal. I had a experience around 2 weeks ago where one of the staff did not seem like he had any knowledge about fish keeping and it took ages to even scoop up our fish, and did not have clear answers to my question.
I had a very concerning experience at this Petco location during what was supposed to be the start of a 6-week dog training course I had already paid for. Before booking, I was advised that the beginner training class would be appropriate for my puppy, who is almost 17 weeks old, and that he had aged out of puppy training. However, when I arrived, the trainer, Jill Vincent, immediately made it clear she did not think we belonged there. From the moment I walked in, she was extremely rude, dismissive, and condescending. I wasn’t greeted, and instead was looked up and down and asked, “who is this?” in a tone that was completely inappropriate. She went on to say that if “all he knows is sit, then this isn’t the class for him,” and seemed visibly irritated and almost angry that I was there at all. Her behavior was so disrespectful and unwarranted that I had to stop her and tell her directly that I did not appreciate the way she was speaking to me. At that point, the situation had already escalated to the point where the training session never even happened. I stood in the store for about 30 minutes trying to get in touch with the general manager, who was unavailable, and was ultimately given an email address instead. The store manager, Gene, was professional and did issue me a refund for the full 6-week course, which I appreciate. However, a refund does not excuse the way I was treated. If Jill is your assigned trainer, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Based on this experience, I would also encourage others to ask more questions about the training approach and expectations before enrolling. This was incredibly disappointing. No customer should be made to feel disrespected and unwelcome like this.
Our kids enjoy visiting your store. The staff is consistently kind and helpful. Our kids have purchased several hamsters from this location, and I have been particularly impressed by the time your team takes to educate us. They always ensure the hamsters will be properly cared for before they go home, which I truly appreciate.
Petco has always been what I would consider to be the classic cuts of the grooming industry. I was recommended to one specific groomer here. When I called, I talked to him on the phone and scheduled with him. I confirmed, it will be you grooming him?! Yes! It will be me. When I dropped my dog off, I confirmed in person, you will be grooming him? Yes! It will be me. I drop off my dog at 11. I didn’t get my dog back until 3:45. They asked me for a tip, and on the tip I see that my dog was groomed by Tiffany instead. I go to get my dog and I said, I specifically asked for DeAngelo. I brought my dog here just for him. She said, I lost a dog today, so he said I could have one of his - “this one”. When he came out, and brought my dog, I confronted him, stating that he lied to me by telllng me over and over again that he would do it and then passed my dog off to another groomer. He said that my dog wasn’t comfortable with him so he gave him to her bc she has more experience. I said, why didn’t you call me to pick him up instead of passing my dog off? He lied to me multiple times. I beg you, don’t take your dog to a place that lies to you. If they lie about this, then they will lie about anything. The ethics are shaky and your animal can’t defend themself. Outside of the continuous lies, this was the most expensive grooming I’ve ever had done, $111. They charge extra to do nails, they include a materials charge, and charge to brush your dog. For $111 you can pretty much go anywhere. For that, I would expect at the very least, honesty.
Tiffany is the best dog groomer, she took care of my baby blue so well, I highly recommend her, for any big, furry very anxious dog. Thank you Tiffany.
